What Is School ? (Part 1)

School is an institution that gives education to students, but in our Indian education system, the biggest criteria is marks instead of focusing on the caliber of the child. Educational reform demands changes with timing as per the learning pattern of the students. Attention span of the students is less due to technology advancement in education.

Today, the education system demands changes as per the child’s understanding. Also, with the latest change of online education, the generation of today, which is smart and upgraded with technology, due to the pressure of marks gaining, is equally on the students and also on the teachers as well. So this is the biggest challenge to inculcate education in such a way that the child should go with the activities that are going on in school and after the school. Schooling not only shapes our personality but also is the best inculcation of habits in the children. Education process involves smart ideas and concepts so that the primary focus should be on the students. Today, institutions are following old strategies and applying techniques even after the biggest change in technology. Variations of choices are given to the students so that the students can choose from the wide variety of subjects, and the students can focus on gaining good marks depending on their calibre.

Providing a positive and competitive environment to the child becomes the responsibility of the facilitator. The facilitator acts as a balancing wheel. The strategies applied in the process given should be short so that the child is able to understand the concept easily. Gathering of information should be the main focal point in the learning process. The primary goal of learning is to inculcate good values in the child and thoughts that make the child broad-minded. Also, the facilitator should make the child part of the classroom and listen to the child if the child is giving any important situation that can help him or her in the learning process because the child helps to shape the environment of the classroom. The facilitator should have an optimistic outlook for each and every student present in the classroom.
